I hope you don't asplode

Happy Fourth of July! Remember kids, fireworks kill four people in the US every year. This is almost as many people as are killed by bunk beds (five). Sleep tight!

Actually, I'd like to see a professional sparkler handler in action. What would they do differently? I like to draw my name in the air, maybe I could get some pointers on my technique.
